As an expanding non-profit organisation we are always looking for the right people to help us, help others. Our team is the back-bone of what we do and because of that we aim to create a friendly and flexible environment, which breeds positivity. 

In 2018 we helped approximately 1899 people and ran over 1075 wellbeing sessions. Furthermore, we also operate our wellness shop the, HAPPY Hub, seven days a week offering everything from drop-in support to the sales of wellness merchandise.

Wellness Coach

About the opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Wellness Coach. Within this role you will be responsible for facilitating our community wellness programmes and running our positive education programmes. You will also be responsible for keeping our high standards at the forefront of what we do. This is a paid, part-time role, which will include evening work.

Our small, friendly team is looking for someone committed to the ethos and growth of Motivated Minds. Communication and IT skills is a must. Also, must be willing to work towards accredited qualifications around mental health.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a budding non-profit organisation and develop your existing skills and learn new ones.

About you

You will be highly motivated and driven to make a difference to mental health through having personal experience and accredited training. You'll be willing to learn across a variety of means, and enjoy supporting your colleagues to grow as well. You present yourself in a professional manner, can articulate yourself well and use your initiative. You will have a minimum of a years experience working within mental health/wellbeing related role and be computer literate with a variety of software packages. Furthermore, you will be subject to an DBS check. Driving is an advantage as some work is remote.

Volunteer Events Team 

About the opportunity

We are looking for a volunteer events team to help us deliver at various summer events across South Essex. This is predominately weekend work, due to it being mainly summer fetes/carnivals. You will work as part of a team to set up and close down. The ability to engage and have fun with other stall holders / public is a must. 

This is a great way to make a difference on an occasional basis and support a budding non-profit organisation. 

Volunteer Fundraiser

About this opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Fundraising Volunteer. As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will need to link with funders, submit applications, source donations from trusts / businesses. As well as, work with our existing partners on new opportunities and finalise end data.

Our small, friendly, team are looking for someone who is reliable, dedicated and confident organising events, raffles, contacting local businesses for support. You would also need to be computer literate to enable online funding submissions. Training will be given, but if you can hit the ground running we would be truly grateful.

You would be required one day a week to liaise with the team, discuss progress and gain a feel for our business ethos. Hours are negotiable.

About you

You’ll have a passion for positive change and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by ill mental health and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of our volunteers and customers. You’ll be a good organiser with plenty of creative ideas, preferably with fundraising, sales or event management experience.

Volunteer Assistant Shop Manager 

About the opportunity

We are looking to recruit a volunteer Assistant Shop Manager on a part-time basis. We are open 7 days a week and you will choose the hours that best suit you. As an assistant you will help in the monitoring of stock, team rota and induction training. 

Our small, friendly team is looking for someone reliable, dedicated and approachable, with strong organisation skills. Communication skills is a must as this is a customer facing role. Computer literate is a bonus as our stock system is online, as is ordering new merchandise. Training will be given, but if you can hit the ground running it would be advantageous.
